We are a Specialist Orthodontic Practice based in Jordanhill, Queens Park and Hamilton, that has been opened since 1999. This is a specialty in Dentistry that help straight patients teeth with braces. We employ 18 people. Our website is www.infinitysmiles.co.uk . We encourage all our staff to enrol on the Modern Apprenticeship Dental nurse course ( PDA/SQA Level 3 ) within 6 months of commencing work with Infinity Smiles.
To work in a supporting role for the Orthodontist and Orthodontic therapist and to facilitate high standards of patient care. To work in a supporting role to the practice ensuring administration and customer contact is of highest standard
To undertake Orthodontic nursing duties in a professional manner. This involves assisting the Orthodontist or Orthodontic therapist chairside, taking photographs, ensuring the surgery is safe, clean and stocked ready for patient care. To ensure commence training as a Dental Nurse with Mentor training and to achieve the PDA/SQA Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing. To follow the GDC standards throughout work. To be familiar with and follow the Infinity Smiles policies and procedures and act accordingly. To ensure that patients appointments are booked in with the appropriate Orthodontist in accordance with appointment schedule. The intention being to satisfy the patient and the practice needs. To ensure that patients and their accompanying relatives are aware of the Orthodontic treatments they are having and the importance of oral hygiene. This includes giving advice both written and verbal and promoting the dental products and kits we sell appropriately To ensure that the practice conforms to the Dental Practice Board’s standards. This includes the accurate digital completion of GP17 forms. To ensure computerised records are maintained and accurate. To become familiar with the Broadband system and communicate any issues. To work as part of a team, and to communicate effectively to facilitate the smooth running of the Orthodontic practice.. To replenish clinical stock and stationery supplies as necessary. To preserve strict confidentiality regarding patient information and to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. To highlight and report any potential H&S problems and report any fixtures or fittings which are damaged. To be prepared to undertake any other relevant duties which may be deemed necessary as part of the business needs.
No previous dental nursing experience is necessary, the successful candidate must be reliable, honest, hardworking and punctual It is essential that they are a good communicator and work well as a team player and willing to help others. They need to be keen to learn new skills and gain chairside dental nursing skills and health and safety procedures. It is desirable that the successful candidate has skills in practical problem solving To have previous experience with computerised packages is desirable but not essential

It is desirable that the successful candidate has skills in practical problem solving
• To have been educated to a minimum level of national level 4 maths and English is desirable.
We encourage the sucessful candidate to enrol on the Modern Apprenticeship Dental nurse course ( PDA/SQA Level 3 ) within 6 months of commencing work with Infinity Smiles. We have worked with the mentor training centre for many years.
