You are giving GCC your personal information to allow us to process your application for employment via the Glasgow Guarantee scheme, which includes National ERI access.
GCC use your information to verify your eligibility for the scheme, your identity where required, and to contact you to maintain our records. GCC may use your information to contact you by post, email or telephone, in relation to the service you have requested, if applicable.

Your information is analysed internally to help us improve our services. This data sharing is in accordance with our Information Use and Privacy Policy and covered in our full privacy statement on our website. It also forms part of our requirements in line with our Records Management Plan approved in terms of the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011.
Your data will be shared with any potential employers and also Glasgow Guarantee In Work Support service, if you secure employment. If you have registered with Glasgow Guarantee, we may share your information with Glasgow City Council services and the employability provider who referred you, to offer you other services for support in gaining employment.
This Project benefits from Scottish Government Funding. It is a condition of this funding that the project may be audited by the Scottish Government. Your personal details may therefore need to be shared with the Scottish Government in connection with any such audits.
GCC only keep your personal information for the minimum period amount of time necessary, which is 6 years for the purpose of the Glasgow Guarantee programme. Sometimes this time period is set out in the law, but in most cases, it is based on the business need. GCC maintain a records retention and disposal schedule, which sets out how long we hold different types of information for.
