We at The Enchanted Tree Nursery aim to provide an excellent early years and childcare setting for young children and families to thrive within. We are family owned business who are close with the local community. We are a small staff team of 11 and are hoping to recruit an additional enthusiastic team member to join us. We close over the Christmas holidays and two bank holidays.
1. To support management and work as a member of a team to provide at all times a safe, caring and stimulating environment for the children in line with the early year’s framework and guidelines. 2. This is a physically demanding role which requires an adequate level of mobility. If there are any facts which will impeded on this, you must inform the nursery manager or deputy as soon as possible. 3. To support a wide variety of activities for the children that is suitable to their individual stages of development. 4. To ensure that child records, such as learning journals, personal and care plans, next steps etc are kept up to date. 5. To build relationships with parents/carers in order to reduce the division between home and nursery for the child. 6. To ensure the provision of high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family back grounds or medical history. 7. To ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery. This includes changing nappies and toilet training. 8. To undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery eg; cleansing of equipment etc and the cleaning of rooms. Broadly ensuring the nursery is kept clean and tidy, following government guidelines regarding COVID-19. 9. To record accidents and incidents on the correct forms. 10. To always ensure that someone known and agreed by the nursery and parents collects the child. 11. To accompany small groups of children on regular local outings e.g. to the shops, park etc. 12. To assist in the provision of support and guidance to students on placements. 13. To attend regular staff meetings and parents’ evenings. 14. To assist with serving the children’s lunches, to stack the dishwater, wash up and to generally clear the kitchen after lunch, snack, and breakfast. 15. You will be required to participate in the staff training and complete annual assessments of progress. 16. To ensure all policies/procedures and risk assessments are read, understood, and adhered to. 17. To respect the confidentiality for all information received. 18. To liaise and work with outside agencies regarding your key worker children. 19. To carry out any other duties requested by the service provider, nursery manager, deputy manager that may be reasonably be expected from a Child Development Officer. 20. To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times both within work hours and outside. 21. To be approachable at all times. 22. To look after and be responsible for all equipment and resources within the nursery. 23. To wear your provided unform at all times indoors and out.
1. To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children places in nursery. 2. To give support to other personnel within the nursery. 3. To implement the daily routine in the nursery playroom.
