Macdeck Landscaping is one of Scotland's leading deckbuilders, specialising mainly in Decking, Cabins, Garden offices and structures. Our work is based around Central Glasgow but occasionally can take us further afield up North or to the Islands. We have a small professional team of friendly, hardworking & enthusiastic personnel who are highly skilled in what they do. We do not repeat the design of each project, providing our clients with a bespoke build. Our Company is based in the North Glasgow area. All of our work is based outdoors, all year round and in all weathers . We have a distinctive margin over all of our Competitors in that we have designed our own Unique deck system - The Macdeck System with assistance from Scottish Enterprise & Strathclyde University and the design is currently Patent Pending. Job Description

Joiner/Landscaper

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of a team or on own initiative Work will involve heavy manual work at time Involved in construction of decks/balconies, cabins, garden offices and a range of garden structures Landscaping duties will involve paving, fencing, laying paths & patios, lawns Candidates will be skilled on our new deck system which will provide a wide range of transferable skills Candidates will assist our Company in spearheading the advance of our new Deck System Candidates will have onsite training as well as avenue to a Modern Apprenticeship

Experience and Knowledge

Ability to get on with co- workers essential as it makes for a harmonious workforce

Key Skills

Driving licence and own transport essential. Ability to work on own initiative and pick things up quickly. Enthusiastic and able to fit in with the team Good timekeeping essential Knowledge in landscaping/joinery would be an advantage

Education, Qualifications and Training

Educated to National 4 level - Maths or Arithmetic pass desirable Driving Licence & own transport would be ideal Any knowledge/training in Joinery or landscaping would be ideal
