Glasgow City Council (GCC) is the largest local authority in Scotland, with 24,000 employees who provide Glasgow residents with a diverse range of services in their roles. The Glasgow City Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer has two distinct functions that they must perform:- 1. Responsible for ensuring that all eligible residents within Glasgow are registered to vote 2. Compile, publish and maintain the Valuation Roll and Council Tax Valuation List for all properties within the city. Providing excellent customer service is a priority for us and we want to make sure that all our customers are dealt with in a friendly, polite and professional way.
DUE TO FUNDING CRITERIA, THIS VACANCY IS AVAILABLE TO THE FOLLOWING: 16-19 YEAR OLDS 20-29 YEAR OLDS WITH A DISABILITY 20-29 YEAR OLDS WHO ARE CARE EXPERIENCED First and foremost, we expect all our employees to provide the very highest standards of customer service, as well as building up a knowledge of the services we provide and the processes needed to deliver them. The successful candidate will carry out a range of clerical and administration duties which includes face to face, telephone and email enquiries. There will be times where you’ll need to use various IT systems and application to process requests and log information, therefore good PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages are really important. As a Modern Apprentice, as well as working in your day-to-day role, you will be studying towards a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ). During your apprenticeship you will work towards your qualification, whilst being able to apply your learning to the real life business environment. In turn, you will receive first class training, excellent conditions and experience of working in one of Glasgow’s leading employers.

Willing to work towards achievement of a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) at level 2/3.
