Vacancy: Trainee Landscape Gardener (Building Team)

Founded in 2003 by Richard Birch to provide professional landscaping & gardening services all over the Greater Glasgow area. We operate two teams - building & maintenance - with a maximum of 3 staff in each team. Our mission is to create & manage unique outdoor spaces to the highest possible standards using established horticultural & building practices alongside continual learning. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a trainee landscape construction operative to join our building team to help build high quality private residential projects around the Greater Glasgow area. MAIN DUTIES: • Assisting in the building of garden features – patios, walls, steps, fences, decking, garden rooms, lawns, water features, drainage systems etc - to a high standard. • Operating site machinery – diggers, dumpers, compactors, abrasive saws, etc. • Working with fellow professionals on a building site safely & efficiently. • Helping our maintenance team when needed (e.g., holiday cover)

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

We need someone who has a passion for working outdoors, is comfortable on a building site and can communicate effectively within a team.

Education, Qualifications and Training

DESIRABLE CRITERIA: • A clean driving license. • Experience of site operations. • Experience of reading plans & setting out. A valid CSCS card and experience working with porcelain tiles & composite decking would also be an advantage
