Rasputin is a drinks wholesaler supplying drinks such as kegs, packaged beers, spirits and soft drinks to pubs in the Glasgow and west of Scotland. We are based in Carntyne in Glasgow and our website is www.drinksdelivereddailly.co.uk We are a small company operating in a very competitive sector therefore we need the right people to complement our small but efficient team. We are very big into customer service, operating seven days per week and ensuring that our customers get their orders in time and with a smile.
You will be expected to make up orders, load up vans, deliver your orders into pubs, be customer friendly and accurate in receiving any monies. You may be out on your own or paired with another person. You will be expected to keep the warehouse clean and tidy, breaking down pallets and ensuring stock is rotated.
The job involves making up customer orders and then delivering them to our customers throughout Glasgow and the west of Scotland. We normally start work at 9.30am each day and usually are finished for 5.00pm, however this has to be flexible depending on the level of business. You could be out in a van on your own or paired up with someone else. You will be expected to handle and count cash/ cheques You will be shown how to accurately pick orders, check them and load a van properly for delivery.
A clean driving licence is desirable but not essential, this can be looked at on an individual basis in conjunction with our insurance company. Experience of driving and knowing the roads in Glasgow and the west would be desirable. It is essential that you can count and be accurate when dealing with money Having worked in a small team before would also be desirable as would the ability to show a bit of common sense and and an awareness of health and safety of driving a van when it is carrying a full load. You must be reliable, punctual and not afraid of some hard work in order to slot into our present team.
You should be a good, safe and competent driver, aware of lifting heavy items properly and safely, attention to detail and the ability to count. You should be of a friendly and accommodating nature, interacting well with both customers and colleagues and getting on with both. You will be expected to be both punctual and reliable in turning up for work.
Full driving Licence held for at least two years Fork lift truck licence would be desirable
A full driving licence for more than 2 years is essential. A licence for driving a fork lift truck would be desirable An ability to count is essential.
