3 year modern apprenticeship where you will work indoors and outdoors maintaining Glasgow's parks, glasshouses, plant collection's open spaces and streets. You will be assigned placements across the city to give you a range of experience within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for Glasgow City Council. Attend Daldowie Training Centre regularly, to achieve qualifications in Horticulture at level 2 with an option to attain level 3
Working with other staff and members of the public, volunteers to improve the environment. Learning how to use hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently to maintain parks and open spaces. Learn how to look after plants, and how to create a more sustainable city. Work in depots all over Glasgow, so you need to be prepared to travel. Use internet to upload your course work and evidence for your qualification.
Work experience in horticulture, landscaping or environmental projects would be beneficial. An interest in plants and the environment.
