The successful applicant will be based at Gartcraig Depot and will be working across the city. This will involve assisting Electricians and Roads and Traffic Technicians in the day to day maintenance, inspection and testing of roads lighting columns, signage and other street assets.
While working within a team you will learn how to carry out risk assessment, traffic management, working at height, lighting design, maintenance of existing and new lighting columns, new developments and develop computer skills to record information.
Good hand skills, problem solving, good communicator, work well as a member of a team, enjoy a challenge, driving licence.

Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability is a council service, which is an amalgamation of Parks, Cleansing, Roads, Parking, Community Safety Glasgow and Development and Regeneration Services which delivers a service to the citizens of Glasgow. It is responsible for maintaining parks, open spaces, roads and lighting as well as ensuring a clean environment within the city. It is also responsible for transport fleet maintenance and planning/building control.
Minimum of 4 National 5 in Maths/English (grade c+) and science subjects is desirable.
Any experience working with electrical equipment and or Science or Technical subjects. Not essential as full training will be provided.
