Cruden Building & Renewals is an innovative construction company with operations across the West of Scotland. As an apprentice you will be employed throughout your training, both at college and on site. The college attendance will be block or day release then applying these skills and gaining further practical experience on site. All entries at college and site must be entered into your Log Book which has to be successfully completed to a high authorised standard. On completion of training you will be graded as a fully trained joiner. Throughout your apprenticeship you will work alongside a qualified Joiner to learn Installation of the following on designated sites: • wooden fixtures & fittings • floor joists and floorboards • kitchen and bathroom units • doors and window frames • roof trusses and wall partitions You will Work under direction of an experienced trades person to learn the process of understanding drawings and work in accordance with specifications and work as part of a team and use materials safely
You will be required to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding on site and in College of all aspects of joinery. Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met.
No experience is necessary but some knowledge of construction is desirable
Literacy & Numeracy test to be carried out prior to Interview. Must be reliable diligent and punctual.
No minimum qualifications required as all training will be provided on site and in College.
Literacy & Numeracy must be passed prior to Interview.
