Glasgow Guarantee supports people of all ages into work and can offer you direct access to jobs and modern apprenticeships with companies across the City.

You can apply to access our vacancies if you are unemployed/underemployed or about to leave school/college.

Who is eligible and how do I register?

We accept registrations from young people who are about to leave school or have left in the last 3 months. You are eligible if you:-

  • Can leave school 3 months prior to, and 3 months after the official school leaving date
  • Are eligible to work in the UK
  • Attend a Glasgow school
OR
  • Live within the Glasgow City Council postcode boundary and attend a non-Glasgow school

Registrations dates for school leavers are:-

    • Winter Leavers: 1st October – 31st March
    • Summer Leavers: 1st March – 31st August

We will confirm your identify through an internal database check. If we require further information, we will be in touch with you by email with next steps.

We accept registrations from students who are about to leave college or have left in the last 3 months. You are eligible if you:-

  • Can leave college 3-4 months prior to the official college leaving date
  • Are eligible to work in the UK
  • Live within the Glasgow City Council postcode boundary

Registrations dates for college leavers are:-

    • Winter Leavers: 1st October – 31st December
    • Summer Leavers: 1st March – 30th June

We will require you to upload evidence of your Glasgow address and right to work in the UK. More details can be found in the section ‘what eligibility evidence might I need?’

College leavers will also be asked to upload proof of their college status/enrolment letter.

  1. City of Glasgow students can download a Status letter from their college ‘City Life’ account
  2. Kelvin College students can email Info@glasgowkelvin.ac.uk to request their Enrolment Letter
  3. All other college students, please contact your student services

We accept registrations from individuals who are unemployed or underemployed (working in a part-time or zero hour contract) and are currently engaged with an employability provider in the city.

You are eligible if you:-

  • Are currently working with one of our Employability Providers and have been referred to us as job ready.
  • Are eligible to work in the UK
  • Live within the Glasgow City Council postcode boundary

We will require you to upload evidence of your Glasgow address and right to work in the UK. More details can be found in the section ‘what eligibility evidence might I need?’

Your registration will not be accepted until we receive a referral form from your Employability Provider.

  2. Proof of Right to Work
    1. Birth/Adoption Certificate (EU Member State)
    2. DWP Benefit Award Letter
    3. DPW Verification Form
    4. EU ID/EEA Identity Card
    5. Marriage/Civil Partnership Certificate
    6. National ID Card
    7. National Insurance number (Letter/Card)
    8. Residency Permit/Evidence from Home Office
    9. Valid Passport
