NRS Fleet Services is responsible for the maintenance of the Council's Vehicle Fleet Licence. Currently the vehicle workshop is located at Jessie Street, Polmadie . Vehicles maintained and repaired range from HGV to Light vehicles and also includes a fleet of Electric cars and vans.
You will be required to identify and rectify faults, conduct pre and post inspections, carry our maintenance and repairs to light and heavy vehicles and contribute to a clean and safe working environment and maintain positive working relationships with fellow workers.
You will require a positive attitude to study and work, good communication skills, and the ability to work individually or as part of a team. Practical skills include hand/eye coordination and the ability to solve problems and operate and use equipment safely to the desired standard. You will also need to demonstrate that you can receive and understand instruction effectively and follow health & Safety procedures at all times.

Minimum of 4 national grades at level 4/5 is required with English, Maths and science subjects preferable
Interest in working with vehicles essential and previous experience of working in a vehicle maintenance environment desirable.
Driving licence or taking lessons with a view to gaining a licence desirable
Age - must be 16-19 years old before start of programme
