Poolpod Products are a friendly company based on Maryhill in a modern manufacturing environment. Using stage of the art equipment we manufacture and assemble a swimming pool lift for disabled people to access the pool. We also manufacture a range of submersible wheelchairs and other new products for use in pools. We are quite a chilled out work environment but we also work hard and get the job done as a close nit team. Pay £27-31k DOE Your role is a diverse one and will include the following tasks mainly working plastics: • Operating vacuum forming machine. • Operating Laser Cutting Machine • Operating robots including trimming robots. • Placing decals on products and cutting decals with a vinyl cutting machine. • Gluing rubber mat to stainless steel base structures. • General workshop assistant - assembly of products Performing other assembly, operation of machinery as required to produce the companies products. You will be trained in tasks you are required to perform. You will assemble the products and operate machinery according to the companies procedures which will be explained to you.
It is desirable that skills in practical problem solving are evidenced. Must be reliable, diligent, punctual and hard working. We will consider all candidates, Experience in product assembly, wood working, metal working, car maintenance, or any other relevant hands on experience will be an advantage. We are looking for a versatile candidate who can solve practical problems and has good spatial awareness. All necessary job specific training will be provided on the job by the company, we need a candidate with the right practical background to take this training and get the job done.
None required. Evidence or practical skill required. Ideally some experience working with plastics and adhesives. Experience of a CAD package such as Autocad, rhino or other 3d software would be an advantage.
