Job Description and Key Responsibilities

As a Recycling Operative, you will support the compliant and safe collection and processing of WEEE waste from our site in Govan. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below: • Carry out all yard activities to ensure deliveries are dealt with promptly • Booking in material from off-site collections • Sorting and segregation of bulk waste electrical deliveries into relevant categories • Stripping down material to reclaim or recycle at component level • Operation of an industrial shredder and heavy plant / machinery • Assist with offsite activities on third party customer site • Manual handling / heavy lifting involved • Any other task identified by Recycling Team Leader • Carry out all duties in accordance with all relevant safety, health, environmental, quality, and legislative requirements • Maintain housekeeping at acceptable standards • Report equipment defects promptly to management

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Excellent time keeping • Self-motivated and resilient, with a strong work ethic • Good knowledge of public safety and security • Ability to follow instructions with excellent attention to detail • Flexible and open to change • Good problem solving skills
