About the Company

The Water Row Company is a subsidiary of the Govan Housing Group, which consists of Govan Housing Association as the parent company and their existing, well-established subsidiary company, Govan Home Team repairs and maintenance. Established in 2023, the Water Row Company is responsible for the management and letting of 92 brand new mid-market rent properties at the exciting new development at Water Row in Govan. The new development consists of five blocks of residential properties with six commercial units located underneath. It is an exciting time to be a part of the Water Row Company. The Association’s accredited Money Advice Service successfully transferred to the Water Row Company in December 2023 and the Factoring Service followed in April 2024. The Water Row Company is also responsible for the management of all residential and commercial leases on behalf of Govan Housing Association. Govan Housing Association is a community focused Registered Social Landlord based in Govan, Glasgow. The Association itself possesses a rich history and one of development and innovation. Founded in 1971, the Association was the first community-based housing provider, leading the way for social housing provision in Scotland. After over 50 years of operating in the housing sector, the Association now manages over 1,600 socially rented properties as well as taking an active role in the regeneration of the area and continuing to improve the quality of life of residents.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to: - Contribute to the provision of an excellent factoring service to the Water Row Company’s customers at first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries and issues. - Provide information and redirect enquiries as necessary from customers to the appropriate person within the organisation who can deal with the enquiry. - Contribute to carrying out the administration of the key services and functions of the factoring service. The holder of this role will be specifically expected to: - Provide information to customers contacting the Water Row Company across a wide range of enquiries, or redirect them to the appropriate person within the organisation who can deal with the enquiry. - Contribute to dealing with factoring administration activities including, maintaining records, handling correspondence, inputting data and providing statistics. - Contribute towards providing a highly informative and helpful service, effectively dealing with customer enquiries or redirecting them to the appropriate person, in a professional and friendly manner. - Contribute with factoring arrears control and monitoring. - Commit to supporting different service areas across the organisation to increase knowledge of all aspects of the business. - Deliver on our service commitment by providing excellent customer service in all interaction with customers and colleagues alike.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

- Hands on experience of, and ability to provide excellent customer services. - Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. and databases. - Good interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and deal with competing priorities/deadlines. - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people and take account of their views. - Good written, verbal and administrative skills. - Ability to demonstrate how you can easily work as part of a team.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Good general standard of education.
