Glasgow City Council have a variety of day centres city wide, including multi-cultural and bi-lingual centres where apprentices will work during their 2 year placement.
Assist taking service users to and from the centre.
Welcome them in the morning and assist with serving tea/coffee/toast.
Assist with a variety of activities to meet the service user's hobbies and interests i.e. arts & crafts, games/exercises and a variety of outings.
It is essential to work as part of a team.
Good communication, listening skills are required. You will have a caring nature, patience and be able to adapt to change. You must be reliable and trustworthy, be able to learn from others and be able to offer support to staff and service users.

We welcome applications from under-represented groups.
No previous qualifications required.
No experience is required, however a good understanding of the support that may be required by service users would be desirable.
You must be able to show commitment to progressing through the SVQ qualification.
