NRS Area Teams provides support for the following NRS Services ; Refuse , Waste Disposal, Parks and Open Spaces, Street Cleansing ,Facilities , Roads, Lighting, Blacksmiths , Bereavement Services.
Based at Queen's Park initially. We are looking to recruit a Modern Apprentice to help deliver clerical and administrative support within the NRS Area Teams which provides support for the following NRS Services ; Refuse , Waste Disposal, Parks and Open Spaces, Street Cleansing ,Facilities , Roads, Lighting, Blacksmiths , Bereavement Services. The aim of NRS Area Teams is to support the delivery of an Administrative Support Service to the various services carried out by NRS to the citizens of Glasgow If you are enthusiastic about working within administration and who enjoy learning new skills, and potentially a long term career within our organisation, this could be the job for you and would welcome your application. Processing of workload using Microsoft Office packages and other GCC systems on a daily basis Working with both internal and external organisations Ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times Supporting NRS Operational Managers and providing administrative assistance when required. Communicating with members of the public on occasion
Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office packages) Basic literacy and numeracy skills Good verbal and written communications skills Be able to work as part of a team Adapt to learning new skills Reliable, hardworking and shows an enthusiastic positive manner Able to produce work to a high standard, with attention to detail and accuracy Able to follow instructions from your manager and other colleagues Good time-keeping and time management There is no requirement for candidates to have administration experience as all training and development will be provided.
No qualifications are essential. English, Maths & another subject at National 5 or equivalent Vocational Qualification is desirable.
DUE TO FUNDING CRITERIA, THIS VACANCY IS AVAILABLE TO THE FOLLOWING: 16-19 YEAR OLDS 20-29 YEAR OLDS WITH A DISABILITY 20-29 YEAR OLDS WHO ARE CARE EXPERIENCED Training provided will be SVQ Level 2 in Business Administration. Therefore candidates must show commitment to achieving the qualification. Throughout the programme candidates will receive training, support and on the job experience. Please note salary increases with age in second year of apprenticeship: 17-18 £7.49/hour 19-20 £10.52/hour 21 £12.00/hour
