Assisting the bakers with prep, cleaning, dishes, and some baking with time and training. Also serving customers, cash handling, and making coffee - barista training provided.

A. Pastry Shop is a wholesale bakery and a take away shop in southside of Glasgow, Cathcart. We specialise in vegan and vegetarian baking. There's a small team of 4 people working here. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and it's important to us to create a safe and friendly work environment.
Food Safety & Hygiene training preferred, but not essential, all training will be provided.
*At least 1 year experience of working in any cafe, restaurant, bakery or another food/catering business.
*Interest in vegan and vegetarian baking
*Interest in working for small but growing independent, woman led enterprise
*Passionate about sustainable business practice and helps us build less wasteful practices
*Capacity to handle fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain positive and friendly relations with colleagues
You will be working 4 or 5 days a week, 35 hours a week.
While we are trying to be flexible and can always accomodate pre-arranged days off, holidays and school days (eg uni), the bakery is open Monday to Sunday, you must be available throughout the week, the earliest start would be 7 am, the latest shifts end at 7pm. Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day are our key dates when the bakery gets busy.
