The role of electrical apprentice will be both physically and intellectually challenging, since it will involve significant college based learning as well as onsite learning.
The successful candidate will be allocated a dedicated tradesperson to work alongside and will be expected to apply their learning to all aspects of becoming a fully qualified tradesperson.
The successful candidate must compete all coursework relating to their learning within the defined timescales articulated by the college.
The successful candidate must adhere to all current health and safety requirements and ensure they operate safely, supported by their tradesperson.
The successful candidate will be required to work alongside and in collaboration with other trades.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent problem solver.
Ability to keep excellent records.
Must be able to work both independently (where appropriate) and as part of a wider team.
Must have good timekeeping.

Richard Dickson Electrical Ltd is a small family business operating across West Central Scotland and specialising in domestic, commercial and light industrial works.
Candidates must have either National 5 or Standard Grades in the following subjects
English
Physics
Maths
Candidate must have successfully completed the SECTT Test.
Experience of working on a busy building site environment is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of current health and safety good practice is advantageous but not essential.
Holding a current CSCS card is advantageous but not essential.

A driving licence would be advantageous
