The succesful applicant will be working in an office based environment. This will involve assisting Roads Inspectors and Roads and Traffic Technicians in the day to day implementation of roads and traffic infrastrtucture maintenance and improvement works across the city. While working within a team you will learn about traffic management, traffic signal design, road accident investigation, roads design, maintenance, new developments, draininge systems, flood prevention and develop computer skills to record information. You may also be asked to gather data and carry out footpath and road surveys which will involve working on site or at our Roads Depot to asssit with monitoring works contractors as required.
Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability is a council service, which is an amalgamation of Parks, Cleansing, Roads, Parking, Community Safety Glasgow and Development and Regeneration Services which delivers a service to the citizens of Glasgow. It has responsibility for maintaining parks, open spaces, roads and lighting as well as ensuring a clean environment within the city. It is also responsible for Transport, Fleet Maintenance and Planning/Building control.
