Duties and Responsibilities
Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the community facilities within Parkhead Schoolhouse and Drill Hall Pantry. Working closely with the administration and cleaning staff, the Caretaker will be responsible for building cleaning, site security, light maintenance tasks, health and safety and reception duties.
Skill levels required for post
Day-to-day management of community spaces.
Key holder - open and close the site.
Reception cover.
Cleaning across both buildings.
Health and safety Ensure that facilities are serviced and cleaned and undertake any emergency or specialist cleaning tasks.
Porter duties e.g., moving furniture and equipment, dealing with deliveries of goods, setting up/ taking down for meetings, events etc.
Receiving deliveries across both buildings.
Liaison with contractors visiting the site.
Working with Parkhead HA staff and building tenants to ensure activities at the site run smoothly.
Fire and Intruder alarm response cover.
Ad-Hoc Maintenance tasks.
Scope
At least 12 months experience in facilities management services within a commercial or community setting.
Be flexible and available to work evening and weekends.
Attend the Schoolhouse or Drill Hall at short notice i.e. alarm call outs.
