Diploma for IT & Telecommunications Professional
Shettleston is a community based housing association and a Scottish Charity, formed in 1976 by local people who were concerned at the deterioration of their community and who wanted to save the traditional sandstone tenements that embodied that community. We currently have a total of 2,398 homes for social rent, mid-market rent and shared ownership in management and also provide regular factoring services to nearly 800 owner occupiers and commercial properties in the area.
The Association has never been “just a landlord” though. We have developed an important wider role in the community over the years by establishing and supporting many new community projects and services to help with the regeneration of the area, combat poverty and enhance the well-being of local residents.
There are currently about 50 employees at Shettleston and we are a big part of the local community.
? Genuine interest in all forms of ICT.
? Strong interest in new technologies and concepts with the ability to pick them up quickly and apply them to projects.
? Confidence in your own abilities. We understand you will not have a great deal of experience, but there is an expectation that you want to learn, develop your skills and have the confidence to grow. We will support you with your learning and development.
? Communication with the team and the wider business is key to the role. Having the confidence to discuss problems and solutions with staff either over the phone or in person is crucial.
The approximate start date for this post is 29th May 2022. This is a 2 year modern apprentice and you will complete a Diploma for IT and Telecommunications during your apprenticeship.
